What's New at the Chamber: July 2023
So much has been going on with the chamber!
Our Thursday night “Cruise Nights” are in full swing and have been getting bigger every week. They will run all through August, so make sure you catch at least one - it’s a fun summer night out. My thanks to Michela Argento, Steve Wangel, Shirish Mohile, Brian Albano, Patrick O’Brien (our intern) and Genarro Izzo for organizing and running this, as well as our sponsors, Geico, Crown Ford and Administrative Services Only.
We’ve finally finished implementing our new software program and it is just wonderful to be able to do so much through the magic of technology. Going forward, it will make running the chamber much easier but more importantly; it will be a profitable member benefit. Members can publish their own events, add coupons, create ads, buy sponsorships, sign up for events, and update their business information. We encourage all of our members to create their own login and make full use of this fantastic opportunity to promote your businesses. Our website will soon be the first place our residents check before purchasing goods and services! Special thanks to Steve Wangel and Lloyd Chrein for helping set this up.
Our bike racks have been installed all over the village. We’re hoping to get more people on bikes for fun, exercise, running errands and to save energy costs. Check them out - they are very cute.
Our April “Experience Lynbrook” was an extremely successful event and we already plan to repeat it next year. It was a great way for residents to get to know our businesses.
The Mayor’s Golf Outing is coming up August 14. Make sure you sign up to play, sponsor or even just have dinner. Enjoy this wonderful day while supporting the Lynbrook Community Chest. We’ll be honoring John Giordano, our Village Administrator and David Greenberg of Michael’s Electrical Supply.
We have many events of all types planned. There are sure to be some you’ll want to attend. Make sure you keep up with the website and if you’re a member, always read our emails!
Enjoy the rest of the summer!
